Websites hosted on Strato often suffer a recurring "Internal Server Error" message, but then will suddenly start working again.
We have tracked this down to a speed "boost" that Strato activates, by default, for all hosted sites.
To resolve this recurring error, you simply need to deactivate this "boost":
- Login to the Strato account:
https://www.strato.de/apps/CustomerService#/skl - If the account has more than one hosting package, select the correct package.
- Select Database & Webspace, then PHP Version Settings
- Under PHP Boost, select Deactivate, then Save.
